Expert Reports
BuildConex prepares independent, expert merit and quantum reports for dispute resolution, settlement, adjudication, arbitration and litigation.
How We Prepare Expert Reports
An expert report must be independent, clear, and defensible. We begin by understanding the issues in dispute, then conduct a rigorous analysis of the evidence before forming an opinion that is properly supported by the facts.
We follow the relevant tribunal rules and expert witness practice directions, ensuring our reports are suitable for adjudication, arbitration, litigation, mediation and settlement. We are also experienced in joint expert conferencing and witness testimony.
The Expert's Duty
An expert's overriding duty is to assist the court or tribunal, not to advocate for the party who instructs them. Our reports are non-partisan, setting out what the evidence supports and what it does not. That independence is not a weakness; it is the source of the report's credibility and its value in facilitating early settlement or persuading a tribunal.
Report Process

- Forensic analysis of the contract, programme and contemporaneous records

- Final report, joint expert conferencing and witness testimony when required
